The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments and SC Works Trident will host a Public Sector Career Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 17 to provide public sector employers an opportunity to connect with prospective employees.
In order to maximize impact and accessibility, the event will be held in two parts, with a virtual option taking place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and an in-person opportunity, hosted by the North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center (5001 Coliseum Drive), held from 2 to 7 p.m.
Local municipalities, counties and public sector agencies interested in recruiting potential new employees can click here to register for the event free-of-charge by Aug. 10.
During the event, employers will have the opportunity to distribute information about their organizations, available positions and benefits packages, and conduct on-site interviews with prospective employees.
Among the organizations signed on to participate are SC Ports Authority, Isle of Palms Police Department, SCDOT, Trident Tech, Charleston County Human Resources, Transdev, and Berkeley and Charleston Counties EMS.
For more information, employers can contact the SC Works Business Services Team at SCWorksTrident@dew.sc.gov.
Jobseekers attending the event are encouraged to come prepared with up-to-date resumes to distribute among the employers in attendance. SC Works team members will also be on-site with resources designed to assist with resume and application needs.
