The public is invited to this open house event?to learn about the Joint Base Charleston?AICUZ study, its recommendations, and the airfield operations that?preserve Defense flying missions and protect the health, safety, and welfare of Air Force neighbors.

The AICUZ Study Public Release Open House will include information stations?with Joint Base Charleston representatives and Air Force Civil Engineer Center subject matter experts, who will be available to discuss study topics and answer questions attendees may have.

The Department of Defense Air Installations Compatible Use Zones program balances the needs of aircraft operations with community concerns by focusing on people, safety and compatible development. AICUZ studies analyze the effects of aircraft noise, aircraft accident potential and land development on present and future neighbors of U.S. Air Force bases.
