NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
Proposed Amendment to the Regional 208 Water Quality Management Plan for
Proposed Central Berkeley Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade to 9MGD
The Berkeley Charleston Dorchester (BCD) Council of Governments (COG) has scheduled a Public Meeting to solicit public comment and input concerning the proposed upgrade of the Central Berkeley Wastewater Treatment Plant (CBWWTP) to 9 MGD. Berkeley County Water and Sanitation is seeking an amendment to the BCD Regional 208 Water Quality Management Plan for the construction of a Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrade that will serve the Central Berkeley Region and will consist of upgrading the treatment capacity from the current 6 million gallons per day (MGD) to 9 million gallons per day.
The Public Meeting will be held September 30,2024 at 6:00 PM.
The meeting will be held in the Barrett S. Lawrimore Conference Room at the BCDCOG offices, located at 5790 Casper Padgett Way, North Charleston, SC 29406.
The proposed amendment will be considered for approval by the BCDCOG following public review. Comments made at the Public Meeting or submitted in writing by October 15, 2024 will be in the public record for the Plan amendment proposal.
